iOS there is no shortage of good skateboarding games (starting with the excellent Skate City on Apple Arcade), most The Ramp (Lien App Store – Free – iPhone / iPad) has some solid assets to showcase. This title edited by Crescent Moon Games plays the card of sobriety, all enhanced by an artistic direction that focuses more on elegance than on the “bling” specific to sports games from EA or Ubisoft. In The Ramp, the player is therefore faced with ramps or skate-park displayed in isometric 3D, a bit like dioramas.
The objective here is to follow the traditional figures of skateboarding, without “wow” effect, slow motion and big bass sound every 5 seconds. The Skateboarder of the beginnings of skateboarding, when it was more about having fun at the bottom of an abandoned swimming pool than playing around for an energy drink. The grip is almost immediate, although it will take a little practice to align the most stylish figures. Finally, note that physical controllers are supported (MFi or Xbox / PlayStation). Very recommendable.
