Indosat Gives Employees Opportunity to Join After Merger with Tri

Indosat Ooredoo will provide opportunities for all employees Indosat to be part of the company after Kemenkominfo officially gave principle approval for the Merger of Telecommunication Operations of PT Indosat Tbk and PT Hutchison 3 Indonesia.

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (Kominfo) officially gave in-principle approval for Indosat and Hutchison 3 Indonesia to merge last Monday (8/11).

Steve said that after the approval was issued, the company would hold an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) on November 26. One of the topics that will be discussed at the EGMS is a name change.

“The name of the company resulting from the merger is PT. Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison Tbk. The merger plan will be proposed at the EGMS on November 26, 2021,” he added.

Meanwhile, regarding product adjustments and post-merger services, Steve ensured that it would continue as usual. Indosat Ooredoo, he said, remains committed to providing quality services to customers.

Currently, Indosat Ooredoo and H3I are studying further the results of the evaluation of the business combination that has been given by Kominfo. Then will continue to coordinate closely with the Kominfo for the next step.

“The merged company, Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, will be firmly committed to being a strong supporter of the Indonesian Government’s digital transformation vision and efforts to develop society and the digital economy,” said Steve.

Regarding the combined spectrum resulting from the merger, Indosat said the combined frequency will be used to expand network coverage, increase capacity, and support the provision of digital cellular products and services.

“As supported by applicable law, the spectrum resulting from the merger is regulated to expand network coverage, increase capacity, and support the provision of quality digital cellular products and services by companies for all businesses, industries and consumers throughout Indonesia, as well as strengthen support for the Indonesian Government’s digital transformation agenda,” he said in an official statement.
