What is claimed to be a giant leak related to AMD’s next graphics card Radeon RX 6600 is now doing its rounds online. This with alleged information about specifications and when partner manufacturers are allowed to unveil their models.
Many of AMD’s secrets when it comes to the next mid-range graphics card may have been revealed. This after a leak that is said to contain all possible information related to the graphics card has started circulating online.
The information comes from the website Videocardz which claims that we will see a graphics card with a Navi 23 GPU equipped with 1,792 stream processors. This along with 32 MB Infinity Cache and eight gigabytes of GDDR6 memory. No variant with four or six gigabytes of memory should have been mentioned in the documents the website claims to have put its hands on.
AMD is said to be preparing to start shipping devices to its partner manufacturers on October 29. After this, there will be a two-week wait until October 13, when AMD gives the green light for partner manufacturers to showcase their variants of the Radeon RX 6600. At the same time, we will also see reviews of the graphics card published. Videocardz expects the launch to be similar to that of the RX 6600 XT, meaning that we will not see any reference designers from AMD reach store shelves.
Speaking of reaching store shelves, the launch may take place shortly before the review lift on 13 October. Provided that this information proves to be correct. However, these dates and specifications have not been confirmed at the time of writing and should therefore be taken with a pinch of salt.
