The quality of Iron Maiden is not perishable

One of the stops on their ongoing Legacy of the Beast tour was the Slavia Prague football stadium called Sinobo Arena on Monday. They just sold the tickets so that it could be stated that it was full, ie around twenty thousand spectators. It was played for almost two hours and it was great.

Iron Maiden stood at the turn of the seventies and eighties at the beginning of a new wave of British heavy metal. This was at the beginning of the genre line, which branched out in the following years. Iron Maiden, however, still honors its orthodox form. Proof of this is the last year’s album Senjutsu, of which the first three songs were in the live version three opening songs in Prague.

The six-member London band has been reminded since the first chords that its current heavy metal is technically extremely advanced, singing as if it is, sound just set up to connect the present and the past, and melodic solid. Even if the first three compositions from the last album have longer footage, they are still songs that can be hummed.

It stands, and this is typical of the entire repertoire, on the refined instrumental lines and distinctive singing of Bruce Dickinson, who “gave” it one joy in Prague. He was confident in the middle and high positions, his voice played with the melodies with honed precision, and he still managed to run on stage, fencing with a monster, waving British and Czech flags, running to the audience on the sides of the stage and swapping something here and there.

The three guitarists in the line-up were generally always a guarantee of full sound. The three guitarists in Iron Maiden are a guarantee of endless instrumental prowess, motifs, finesse and jokes. For example, when Janick Gers waved his instrument here and there and during the game he treated him like a lover with whom he is dancing a tango.

Dave Murray and Adrian Smith weren’t so eccentric, but they did a great job. Maybe they have too many notes in their parts, maybe some moments are too recombined and some rhythm changes are a bit violent, but for a metal fan it’s a feast for the ears.

Bassist Steve Harris plays his rhythm instrument as a solo instrument, so it was no surprise that he also played acoustic guitar. And drummer Nicko McBrain could use his skill and the power of the punches to organize two parallel running competitions in Senjuts – Iron Maiden, Killers – Iron Maiden
Powerslave – Iron Maiden, Iron Maiden – Iron Maiden
A Matter Of Life And Death – Iron Maidenholuby z kulometu.

The Prague program included hits that fans love. Iron Maiden performed the songs Fear of the Dark, The Number of the Beast, Iron Maiden, The Trooper or Run To The Hills live. The audience sang them with them, applauded when Dickinson only indicated it to them, and applauded enthusiastically not only after the end of each song, but also with the beginning of the next. To this end, the varied visual appearance of the stage was constantly changing, Dickinson was changing clothes and there were also pyrotechnic effects.

It was like meeting friends for life and death. That’s the relationship between fans and Iron Maiden. And that everyone already has a cross of their lives on their backs? Quality things and quality relationships mature and are not subject to destruction.
