The Chambéry public prosecutor’s office requested, earlier this week, the return of Nordahl Lelandais to the Savoy Assize Court for murder in the Arthur Noyer affair, Agence France-Presse reported on Friday (February 14th).
Indicted for assassination at first in December 2017, the 36-year-old respondent had recognized, in March 2018, a fight between him and Arthur Noyer which had led to the death of the corporal of 23 years, member of the 13e battalion of alpine hunters.
According to him, the facts would have happened in Saint-Baldoph, near Chambéry, on the night of April 11 to 12, 2017, after hitting the soldier from Bourges, leaving a nightclub in the center -City of Chambéry.
Intention to kill
The prosecution of Chambéry therefore considers that Nordahl Lelandais had an intention to kill Arthur Noyer at the time the events took place, but that he had not premeditated his gesture.
If the examining magistrate follows the final indictment of the prosecution by sending Nordahl Lelandais for murder before the Assize Court of Savoy, then the maximum penalty incurred will go from life imprisonment to thirty years imprisonment.
Nordahl Lelandais is also indicted for the murder of little Maëlys De Araujo and for sexual assaults on two little cousins.
