The owner of the Novara zoo in northern Italy warns that he will not be able to feed his 600 animals forever if the confinement of the country takes too long and deprives him of visitors. Under the sun, dromedaries, giraffes, hippos, rhinos, elephants, ostriches, antelopes, bison and pelicans live in freedom. And the owner of the Safari Park in Pombia, in the province of Novara, Orfeo Triberti, is concerned for them.
“The situation is not yet tragic but it could become. Our animals need food all the time. The question is time. How long will it last? Asks Orfeo Triberti. Following his calls, families bought tickets for the reopening, others sent equipment or food.
