A day before the celebration planned in New Philadelphia (13/4), for the 100th anniversary of the founding of AEK, the yellow and black PAE informed about the actions and surprises that will be on and off the field. The relevant announcement states:
“Friends of AEK, Tomorrow Saturday dawns one of the most beautiful days for all of us. A historic day, a day full of symbolism and strong emotions. The Athletic Union of Constantinople completes 100 years since its foundation.
AEK marks the first century of its life and we will all celebrate together in the Holy Grounds of New Philadelphia. In and around Our House.
A big celebration with you, the soul of AEK, its world, being at the center. The program of the celebration includes a series of activities for young and old and of course it will have many surprises.
We start at 14.00 and the part of the event that will take place outside the OPAP Arena will last until 17.00. However, from 16.00 the gates of our stadium will be open, so that anyone who has a Free Entry Ticket for the celebration who wants to take their place in time can do so.
Inside the OPAP Arena, AEK fans will be able to watch the highlight of the great celebration, the take-off of the AEK 100-year Balloon. The take-off is scheduled for 18.00 and will be preceded by other actions and surprises inside the stadium.
Our team will be with us, but also the great figures of AEK’s history, its living legends.
We would like to request you to be in New Philadelphia as early as you can. To experience this great celebration and enter the stadium without hassle.
We would also like to ask you not to use flares, smoke generators and flares inside the stadium. There is a flight procedure that has safety rules and we all need to help.
It is also very important that we all stay away from any attempt to approach the playing field. AEK plays a very important match against Aris on Sunday and there should not be any problem. So we stay in the grandstand and enjoy the great celebration from there.
