The Principality will impose a curfew from one to six in the councils that enter into extreme risk | BE Gijón | The news from Asturias

The Ministry of Health will impose the curfew between one and six in the morning and the review of mass events in Asturian councils with the greatest healthcare pressure and transmission of the COVID-19. In addition, in these municipalities, Meetings will be limited to 6 people inside the premises and 10 outside, as well as the celebration of mass events. Measures, all of them, that must be approved by the Superior Court of Justice of Asturias. The Principality will maintain the closure of nightlife venues.

The incidence at 7 and 14 days in the region is flattening its curve, not the nlevel of care pressure, which is going up. There is the key that would make several municipalities go from level 4 to 4 +, at which time the measures would be activated, as announced this morning by the counselor Pablo Fernández.

Once the autonomous community chains three days at high risk of hospital occupancy due to COVID (more than 5% in the ward and 10% in the ICU), councils with more than 10,000 inhabitants will automatically enter at risk level 4+. there are another three days with a fourteen-day cumulative incidence of more than 350 cases per one hundred thousand inhabitants.

At the moment there are seven councils with more than 10,000 inhabitants that already present a very high risk of transmission: Gijón, Gozón, Carreño, Villaviciosa, Langreo, Laviana and Cangas del Narcea.

Gijón is currently in transmission level 4 (very high risk), not so in healthcare pressure where the level is alert 1. In the Cabueñes Hospital there are two floors with 56 beds for COVID patients and 12 beds arranged in the ICU. There are 33 people hospitalized with COVID on the ward and 7 in the ICU. From the SESPA they warn of the risk of having to “reduce the programmed activity, keeping only the urgent or not delayed”.
