Interestingly, there appears to be a reinforcement from Iriawan’s apology for refusing to step down as PSSI president following the football tragedy that caused the second largest loss of life in the world. This is when referring to the PSSI Safety and Security Regulations 2021.

The PSSI 2021 Safety and Security regulation referred to in Article 3 governs all the responsibilities of Panpel. This includes damage, accidents and other losses.

This is stated in article 3 point 1.d which reads “Panpel warrants, releases and releases PSSI (and its officers) from any claims of any party and states that Panpel is fully liable for any accidents, damages and other losses that may arise in connection with the implementation of this standard “.

Sounds relating to almost the same responsibilities are contained in Article 3 of the 2022/2023 League 1 Regulations relating to participating clubs. However, this regulation fully regulates PT LIga Indonesia Baru as an operator of professional competitions in the country and also in clubs.

There are eight points there and in point six of the Liga 1 Regulations 2022/2023 it says “The club guarantees, releases and releases LIB from any claims of any party and declares that the club is fully responsible for accidents, damages and other losses. that may arise in connection with the match played by the club “.

Just like Iriawan, PT LIB President Ahmad Hadian Lukita has also been pressured to step down as a form of responsibility for the Kanjuruhan tragedy.

So far the PSSI disciplinary commission chaired by Erwin Tobing has imposed sanctions on Panpel president Arema Abdul Haris and security officer Suko Sutrisno only in the form of a lifetime ban from football. In addition, Singo Edan’s team was also sentenced to a ban on playing home games without spectators and a fine of IDR 250 million.
