late wife Istri President of Haiti Jovenel Moise finally raised her voice after the unfortunate incident that happened to her and her husband some time ago. Martine Moise also told what happened to the two through an audio message she uploaded on Twitter.
“I’m alive, thanks to God,” he said in Creole, starting his first public statement after the incident.
“I am still alive but I have lost my husband Jovenel,” she added.
The woman also told how the perpetrators first entered their residence and carried out the sudden attack.
“In the blink of an eye, mercenaries entered my house and shot my husband with bullets … without even giving him a chance to say a word,” she said still in her audio message.
“I’m crying, it’s true, but we can’t let the country lose its way,” he said. “We can’t let his blood… spill in vain.”
It is known that Martine Moise was rushed to a Haiti hospital after the attack on Wednesday (7/7) early morning local time. Due to his severe injuries, he was transferred to Miami for intensive treatment.
Until now the brain and motive for the murder of Moise still leaves a question mark. According to the Haitian police, the killings were carried out by a commando unit consisting of 28 people. The killing team is said to have consisted of 26 Colombians and two Americans of Haitian descent.
