The President convenes the National Assembly on December 3 – Elections 2021

By decree, President Rumen Radev convenes the newly elected Forty-seventh National Assembly at 9 a.m. on December 3 (Friday), the head of state’s press office said. The first sitting will be chaired by the oldest member of parliament, Silvi Kirilov from “There is such a people”.

The early parliamentary elections were held on November 14th and were won by “We continue the change”, with the party having 67 deputies. GERB has 59 MPs. The third largest is the MRF group with 34 deputies. BSP has 26 MPs, “There is such a nation” – 25, and “Democratic Bulgaria” has 16. The smallest group will be “Vazrazhdane” with 13 deputies.

“We continue the change”, BSP, “There is such a people” and “Democratic Bulgaria” held the first round of negotiations this week for the formation of a governing coalition. They discussed future policies in 18 sectors, with requests after the meetings being that there are more commonalities than differences.

Talks on the structure of the government, as well as the composition of the cabinet, are expected to begin next week.
