Russia has pulled its troops to the borders of Ukraine to create tension and show Western countries “who is boss.” However, our state was able to resist the aggression of the Russian Federation.
President Volodymyr Zelensky told about this in an interview with the newspaper Axios… He also thanked the world countries for supporting Ukraine.
“This is more like a serious psychological pressure of a kind: to show who is the boss here, who controls the borders. That if something“ wrong ”comes from the West, then“ we are always ready, ”the Ukrainian leader said.
At the same time, the guarantor of the Constitution noted that our country did not react to the provocations of Russia.
“This is what this situation is about. In what way Ukraine demonstrates restraint, not reacting to any provocations,” he stressed.
Zelensky also added that the Western world supported Ukraine when the Russian Federation began to build up its military power near the borders of our country.
“I would like to add that both Europe and the United States demonstrated unity at the time of the escalation. When the initial gathering of Russian troops took place, the West made quite strong statements,” the head of state stressed.
