The PP proposes to expand breast cancer screening in Andalusia from the age of 40 to 75

The PP andaluz has promised to extend in the new legislature the age of the screening of breast cancer from 40 years to 75. Currently, screening is performed from the age of 50. In addition, lung and cervical cancer screenings will be implemented in the community.

This was announced this Thursday by the PP-A candidate for reelection as president of the Board, Juanma Moreno, during a public act at the Manuel Aragón winery in Chiclana de la Frontera (Cádiz). If the popular continue to lead the regional executive after the elections this Sunday, this will be one of the measures that will be implemented in the region.

“Oncology studies have shown us an increase in women who are having breast cancer under the age of 50, and given this increase the best policy is an early diagnosis», Moreno stressed. “For this reason, we advance it ten years and increase it to 75 to avoid suffering,” said the popular.

Faced with hackneyed criticism from the left, the PP-A candidate for 19J has reiterated the Board’s commitment to public health and to expanding the rights of citizens. Another commitment assumed by Juanma Moreno is the implementation of screening for lung cancerthe first cause of death in men and the second in women.

He has also promised that screening for cervical cancer – which affects the cervix– between 25 and 65 years old. The test, as he has detailed, allows abnormal cervical cells to be detected and treated before cancer appears. Juanma Moreno has underlined the number of lives that could be saved by carrying out this technique.

«Where are the rights that we take away?», the popular candidate has asked. And he has sent a message to Andalusians: “We are the ones who, with efficient economic management, implement more rights to protect our population.”

Between the proposed measures by the PP-A for the next legislature there is also a second massive reduction in taxes, zero fee for young entrepreneurs in the community and free Wi-Fi and television in all public hospitals in Andalusia.
