In Sunday’s match against Giannina Świderski defeated the visitors’ goalkeeper in the 52nd minute, leading to a 1-1 draw. Earlier PAOK he was losing from the 31st minute after a goal from Rodrigo Erramuspe. Omar El-Kaddouri scored an important goal for the team from Thessaloniki in the 91st minute, showing off with a balancing shot. Świderski stayed on the pitch until the 96th minute, when he was replaced by Moussa Wague.

The Pole needed only 355 minutes to score five goals in the league. On average, it hits the net every 71 minutes. In recent weeks, Świderski has won a place in the basic line-up of the Thessaloniki team. The match against Giannina was the third in a row he started in the starting line-up. In October, the 23-year-old was nominated for the award for the best footballer of the month, and his rival was, among others Carlitos Lopez, known in the past for his performances in Legia Warsaw and Wisła Kraków.
– Świderski may become one of the best strikers in Europe. I think we must never forget that a 23-year-old footballer requires patience. We must give Karol time to show his true potential – PAOK’s coach, Abel Ferreira, said after winning a 3-0 game with OFI Kreta at the beginning of October, in which a Pole hit the net twice. Then he appeared on the pitch only in the 81st minute.
Świderski joined PAOK Salonika in 2019 from Jegiellonia Białystok and already in the first season he celebrated victory in the Greek league and the national cup. So far, Karol Świderski has played 66 matches for the Greek club, scored 25 goals and recorded three assists.
