The treatment for users of license plates with special codes such as RF is the same as for ordinary number plates. Users of the special plates still have to comply with applicable traffic rules. For example, when the application of odd-even numbers applies to a number of roads in the capital city, vehicles with special number plates are not immune.
Director of Registration and Identification of Korlantas Polri Brigadier General Yusri Yunus emphasized that even if it has a secret code and a special code, when crossing an odd-even route, it must adjust to the expiration date.
Only cars ending in an odd number can travel on odd dates and vice versa. Yusri also reminded the public that there is no need to hunt for a license plate in the style of this official so that they are free from odd-even numbers because it is useless.
“If the time is odd, it’s odd and even, it’s even. So don’t expect me to chase a special number, my secret number is free from odd-even, no, it’s still a hit. If this violates information for the public, they’re after this special and secret number to avoid odd-even , especially there,” said Yusri.
Yusri added, in the future there will be no special number plates with the RF code. His party is currently preparing the latest special code number plates for echelon I and echelon II officials. Apart from special number plates, there are also secret plates being prepared.
“All control is carried out by Korlantas and no longer using RFs. For special numbers, we have prepared a separate number, so if someone uses RF, it is no longer valid, only valid for one year,” added Yusri.
Meanwhile, according to Polri Regulation number 7 of 2021 concerning Registration and Identification of Motorized Vehicles, special and secret number plates may only be used by certain groups as follows.
Special number plate:
– The President’s official vehicle
– Vice President’s official vehicle
– The official vehicle of the Chairman of the State Higher Institution
– Ministerial official official vehicles
– Service vehicles of TNI/Polri officials and echelon I, II, and III government agencies, and
– Vehicle of the honorary consul
Secret number plate:
– TNI Intelligence
– Police Intelligence
– Prosecutor’s Intelligence
– State Intelligence Agency
– Investigator/Investigator
