Shoe seller and YouTuber Ema Krusi briefly reopened her Geneva boutique on Tuesday. The commercial police quickly intervened to shut down the store, its owner still refusing the mask.
A “strong” and “subject to criticism” action. This is how Ema Krusi, YouTuber and owner of a shoe store in the Rues-Basses, judges the decision of the Department of Health. The latter had his shop closed on Wednesday July 29. The entrepreneur had published on her window figures proving, according to her, that the epidemic is over, and indicated that she would not impose the mask in her store, neither for employees nor for customers. According to her, her words earned her the administrative closure decided by the Department, against which she had announced to appeal.

Store closed a second time
This Tuesday morning, Ema Krusi has yet reopened her stall. Did the appeal that she lodged against the State decision have a suspensive effect? The Department of Health is declining to comment on the case while the appeal is pending. In any case, the police intervened on the spot to have the store closed again, the same day at 5 p.m. “The administrative authorities do not seem to favor dialogue”, writes Ema Krusi on Facebook. She further considers that the authorities’ decision is “likely to be considered illegal”.

Having become the voice of anti-masks for a few weeks now, she posts videos on her YouTube channel to express her opinions. In particular, she declares that the mask causes headaches and a lack of oxygen. For now, the entrepreneur has not responded to our requests.
