The plan for the PAU and the Selectivity in Valencia: Dates and conditions

The Valencian Generalitat is working on an unprecedented logistics deployment for the organization and correct development of the University Entrance Exams (PAU), which will be held on July 7, 8 and 9 in the Valencian Community and which is scheduled to To present themselves about 20,000 students. The Valencian Government will give “maximum priority” to the people who will participate in the tests, and to establish security measures, the ministries of Justice, Health and Innovation and Universities have been coordinated in order to guarantee the correct development of the exams, reports the Generalitat in a statement.

The Minister of Innovation and Universities, Carolina Pascual, and the Minister of Justice, Gabriela Bravo, held a video conference meeting, which was also attended by the Autonomous Secretary for Security and Emergencies, José María Ángel, the Autonomous Secretary for Universities, Carmen Beviá, as well as the general directors of Public Health, Ofelia Gimeno, and of Educational Centers, Joaquín Carrión.

How will the PAU be done?

At the meeting, the sanitary recommendations for separation between students during the tests were analyzed, as well as the implementation of disinfection and cleaning protocols, before carrying out the PAU and after each day of exams.

In addition, the Generalitat will distribute hydroalcohol masks and gels for the protection of both students and teachers and other people who will participate in the organization and development of exams.

Pascual thanked the conselleries for their willingness and collaboration to coordinate the tests with enough time in advance and highlighted the coordination work that exists between them to guarantee health and safety so that they develop in optimal conditions.

In this sense, the PAU Management Commission will meet this Thursday to continue with the work of coordinating the tests, as well as to decide the suitable spaces in which they will take place.
