Two men aged 27 and 31, suspected of having assaulted and kidnapped a man in front of the Montauban (Tarn-et-Garonne) police station on Sunday, were remanded in custody on Monday, October 18.
Two people were remanded in custody Monday, October 18, 2021 for the heads of “aggravated violence with ITT greater than 8 days (28 days in this case), kidnapping and forcible confinement with release before 7 days”.
They are two men aged 27 and 31. They are accused of having attacked and kidnapped a man in front of the Montauban police station (Tarn-et-Garonne), on the night of Sunday, October 17.

Chase in the streets of Montauban
Pursued by two vehicles, the victim, a 33-year-old man, tried to take refuge at the Montauban police station around 1 a.m., according to information fromToulouse news. Caught up by several individuals, he did not have time to enter the police station when he got into a car.
The man was found a few hours later at the Montauban University Hospital, suffering from several fractures. His ITT (temporary work interruption) was assessed at 28 days.
“The victim of this case had herself assaulted a man beforehand. It was this man’s friends who organized the punitive expedition on Sunday.”, explains to Actu Toulouse the prosecutor of the Republic of Montauban, Laurent Czernik.
The other pursuers still wanted
Badly beaten, the victim also wiped “several shots from Gomm-cogne”, a defense weapon firing rubber bullets. His car was also hit with “butcher’s leaf”, continues the Prosecutor.
Contacted by France 3 Occitanie, the Parquet de Montauban confirms that the reasons for the altercation remain unclear. For now, the other pursuers are still wanted. The prosecution did not wish to communicate on their number.
