The Peru Trail Series enters its final stretch

The date in Asia will be the toughest so far, with the highest elevation distances: 1530 meters for 21K, 950m for 13K, and 500m for the 8K.

The Peru Trail Series circuit, the only mountain racing championship with monetary prizes in the country (S/. 25,000 for the 21K, equally for Women and Men), has its third event on the calendar this Saturday, March 2. The date will be held in the Asia Valley in the seaside resort south of Lima and has set a new registration record: 980 runners have confirmed their participation.

The day in Asia will be key, since it will be the last opportunity to score important points in the championship, and qualify for the fourth and final date, to be held on San Lorenzo Island (April 13). The 4 distances that will be competed are 2km for children, 8km for those just starting out, 13km and 21km for the most daring.

The previous races were in Pachacamac and Calango and brought together the best exponents of national trail running, as well as the entire local running community: mountain runners, marathon runners, hikers and walkers.

The date in Asia will be the toughest so far, with the highest elevation distances: 1530 meters for 21K, 950m for 13K, and 500m for the 8K.

The discipline of trail running (running in nature, on trails and in the mountains) has had exponential growth in recent years, thanks to the support of Electrolight, Fitpoint, Nutripoint, Unacem, Agua San Mateo, Buff & Petzl, brands that allow development of the Peru Trails Series championship.

The circuit brings a proposal with various activities in parallel to the race itself and expands the experience of each of the participants and attendees. The entire family is expected to attend the event, as there will be activations of the sponsoring brands, food trucks, music and many surprises.
