In a statement on his Twitter account, Trump said that the pandemic had really destroyed the US. Therefore, Trump explained, he was increasingly angry with China.

“As I watched the pandemic spread its ugly face throughout the world, including the extraordinary damage that had happened to the US, I became even more angry with China. People can see it, and I can feel it,” Trump chirped, as reported by the Anadolu Agency to Wednesday (1/7/2020).
The tweet came when the US, according to Johns Hopkins University, recorded more than 2.6 million confirmed cases and more than 127 thousand deaths from the virus.
New cases of Covid-19 in the US alone jumped more than 47 thousand on Tuesday local time. This surge is the largest since the start of the pandemic, occurring as a warning by US government infectious disease experts that the number could soon multiply.
California, Texas and Arizona have emerged as the new epicenter of the pandemic in the US. The regions reported a record increase in new cases of Covid-19.

Anthony Fauci, head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said the daily increase in new cases could reach 100,000 unless a national push was made to quell the revived virus.
