Covid patients admitted to Galicia grow again to 689 hospitalized, which is 20 more than 24 hours ago. Meanwhile, the active cases amount to 15,599 after a day in which the Galician Health Service (Sergas) has detected 1,632 positives in one day.
According to data updated this Saturday by the Ministry of Health, with records up to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, hospital floors accumulate 667 patients admitted with coronavirus, which is 24 more than a day ago, although intensive care units they are 22, four less.
By health areas, not all replicate this rise in admissions. In fact, the Ferrol area has 46 hospitalized patients (eight less than a day ago), of which only one is in the ICU (-1). Similarly, they drop slightly in A Coruña to 169 (-1), of which seven are critical (-2); and in Santiago-Barbanza to 103 (-1), four of them (-1) in intensive care.
On the opposite side, the Vigo area rose to 103 hospitalized (+9), although the critical ones fell to two (-1); that of Ourense-Verín-O Barco de Valdeorras rises to 99 (+10), although those in the ICU drop to three (-1); and in Lugo-A Mariña-Monforte they increase to 90 (+10), of which three are in intensive care (+1).
Active cases on the rise
For the fifth consecutive day, active cases rise and stand in Galicia as a whole at 15,599, which is 617 more than the previous day as there are more infections (1,632) than discharges (1,009), to which five deaths are added.
The increase is replicated in the seven Galician health areas. The one in A Coruña-Cee is the one with the most covid patients, with 3,356 (+296), followed by the one in Santiago-Barbanza with 2,820 (+103) and the one in Vigo with 2,612 (+21).
After these, there are from Lugo-A Mariña-Monforte with 1,984 active infections (+52), from Ourense-Verín-O Barco de Valdeorras with 1,979 (+74); Pontevedra-O Salnés with 1,671 (+7); and Ferrol la with 1,156 (+64).
