May 11 Venediktova signed suspicions to Medvedchuk and his colleague Taras Kozak in high treason and attempted plunder of national resources. The media reported that in the house of Medvedchuk in Kiev and the office of the HLE SBU conducted searches.

There are three episodes in the case, the first of them concerns assistance to Russia in obtaining an oil and gas field in the annexed Crimea, the second – the transfer of secret information about the Ukrainian troops to the special services of the Russian Federation, the third – the participation of the defendants in the development of the “Luch” project, with the help of which it was planned recruit Ukrainian migrants to the Russian Federation.
