Social networking sites, especially “Twitter”, caught up with the comments of football fans in the Arab world, after the final shape of the “Marsool Park” stadium, which is scheduled to host the matches of the Saudi Al-Nasr team, was revealed in the coming period.
The stadium, which is located in the Saudi capital, “Riyadh”, appeared in a dazzling form, after it was developed to become the official stadium of Al-Nasr team, after it hosted the confrontations of its opponent Al-Hilal in the last three years, under the name of King Saud University Stadium.
The King Saud University Stadium “previously” hosted the Egyptian-Saudi Super match in 2018, which brought together the Al-Hilal Al-Saudi and Al-Zamalek Al-Masry teams, and ended with the guests winning two goals to one.
The stadium was officially opened in 2015, at a construction cost of 215 million Saudi riyals, for the benefit of King Saud University, which aimed to host the sports activities at the university, before Sila, the strategic partner of the Crescent Club, reached an agreement with the university in 2017, to become the official stadium for the team. It has since become famous for its “ocean of terror”.
The stadium of King Saud University is like a boom in the stadiums of the capital, Riyadh, as it was designed according to international standards, and became the first “without a track” stadium in the capital. It contains 34 gates for the entry and exit of the masses, and five rooms for television and radio broadcasts.
But the most prominent step led to a tender offered by the university during the current year, which was won by the Saudi Media Company, with a ten-year contract, before it in turn signed a contract last October with Al-Nasr Club.
Al-Nasr club announced a partnership that led to the renaming of the stadium, which seats 25,000 spectators, and added that naming the stadium with a brand is a precedent in the Middle East, on the path of international clubs that have succeeded in reaping huge profits thanks to commercial partnerships.
The official account of Al-Nasr Club on the social networking site “Twitter” revealed, on Friday, pictures of the new stadium, and officially announced the move to it to play its matches, and the pictures were impressive, which sparked the stadium on top of social media over the last hours.
