The number of new cases of coronavirus contamination in Germany has exceeded 2,000 in the past 24 hours, a level more reached since the end of April, authorities said on Saturday.

The RKI health watch institute recorded 2,034 new cases, bringing their total number since the start of the pandemic to 232,082, with seven new deaths, which in this case brings the death toll to 9,267.
