The number of deaths from corona in Belgium is rising faster again. According to preliminary figures from health institute Sciensano, the average number was 8.1 a day between 23 and 29 September.

In Belgium, 10,037 people have died from Covid-19 since the start of the epidemic. That is fourteen more than the counter indicated on Friday morning.

There are 789 corona patients in the hospitals, 163 of whom are in the Intensive Care Unit. During the last week, an average of around 68 new patients were admitted every day.
