The new year has arrived and, with it, the news on cash and the urgent work on pensions. But beware of the rise in bills.

The much-heralded 2022 has come like every other year. Indeed, it is already a couple of days older. And what for many measures was the deadline, January 1, has passed, bringing with it all the more or less expected news. The main changes are recorded on the economic front, or rather, that of the use of economic resources. The increase in the October bills, for example, it almost seems like a jokeor compared to that announced for the next few weeks. A sting that could prove to be decidedly unbearable for the pockets of Italians, especially in virtue of an autumn that is anything but tender towards the domestic economy. And be careful, because 2022 will bring with it all the news (also announced) on cash.

The government is working to amortize the blow from the price increases, as well as to mitigate the effects of the limitation on cash. The universal single allowance was designed precisely to support the expenses of families, especially with regard to raising children. And the collateral expenses for users are directly connected to family welfare. In the meantime, work is also being done on the pensions front. Passed from 2021 to 2022, in fact, there is already an acceleration on the pensions front. A commitment with a deadline of 2023, given that for the year that has just begun it was decided to use transitional tools. In the meantime, increases and changes in cash remain the closest tasks for citizens.

Cash and price increases, the options for balancing expenses

Regarding the bill plan, the concern is unique. In October, the rise in prices had brought a feeling of despondency but, all in all, it was quite well absorbed. Now, however, a sort of rise in the price is on the way, with roofs that, according to the Regulatory Authority for Energy, Networks and the Environment (Arera), will reach 55% for families in the protection market. And only in regards to electricity. Another 41.8% will come for gas, only during the first quarter of 2022. Specifically, the average expenditure per family will be respectively 823 and 1,560 euros per year. An increase that families would have gladly done without. The average increase will in fact be 1,200 euros per household in 2022. The Government has tried to run for cover: the reduction in VAT on gas (5%) for the quarter and some ad hoc resources has been checked in the Budget Law. translatable into the so-called Bonus bills.

We have already talked about cash on several occasions. The limit will be lowered further, from € 1,999.99 to € 999.99. A figure that, apparently, will not shift the balance much for small savers but which could do so with the payment bar of small companies. For higher figures, traceable instruments will be required, with even heavy penalties for those who will not adapt to the new rules. The bills issue, on the other hand, could be mitigated by the intervention of the single check. Economic recognition for families with children will start from the seventh month of pregnancy and will be valid up to the age of 21 (175 euros for minors, 85 for adults). The disbursement will start in March 2022.
