The top version of the new generation Škoda Fabia goes on sale with a price starting at CZK 444,900, but the increase in price compared to the previous generation promises to be offset by richer standard equipment, thanks to which it should be more advantageous than the similarly equipped Style version.

Last week, the Škoda Fabia received a new top trim level, traditionally named Monte Carlo, which brought a significant optical change to the already available Ambition and Style trim levels with a slightly sporty twist. However, the price list published today shows that in addition to the design, the Fabia Monte Carlo will also offer a wide range of standard equipment.
„The new Fabia Monte Carlo differs from the Ambition and Style specifications by an even more attractive design and adds literally exhaustive equipment. We made sure that the customer did not have to pay extra for anything important. Czech customers have been looking for well-equipped models for a long time and we believe that we will meet them with this version,“Says Škoda Auto Czech Republic Sales Manager Jan Pícha.

The top equipment includes 16-inch black-painted alloy wheels, sports seats, carbon trim, Bi-LED headlights, front and rear parking sensors, Kessy keyless locking and starting, USB-C in the rearview mirror, Climatronic dual-zone climate control and many next. However, it is also worth mentioning the so-called Color Concept, which combines black paint on the roof, A-pillars and exterior mirrors with five body colors.
A wide range of supercharged Evo engines is available under the hood. The basis is the 1.0 three-liter three-cylinder with an output of 70 kW or 81 kW. Basic motorization is always associated with a five-speed manual, but stronger motorization already gives a choice between a six-speed manual and a seven-speed DSG.
The highlight of the offer is the four-cylinder 1.5 TSI engine with an output of 110 kW, which is standardly associated with the DSG automatic transmission and is said to meet the sporting ambitions of the Monte Carlo lifestyle model. But how much will the new model cost?

You will receive the basic 1.0 TSI 70 kW engine with a five-speed manual and Monte Carlo equipment for CZK 444,900. Compared to the previous generation of the model, which offered the same car engine in the Monte Carlo equipment for CZK 397,900, this is an increase of CZK 47,000.
The more powerful three-cylinder 1.0 TSI 81 kW, combined with a six-speed manual, starts with Monte Carlo equipment from the amount of CZK 464,900, while in the past the price started from CZK 413,900. As the carmaker adds, more powerful motorization has increased by CZK 51,000. The one-liter 81 kW three-cylinder with DSG then starts from CZK 504,900 and the top 1.5 TSI 110 kW DSG from CZK 544,900.

However, the carmaker defends the higher price tag with richer standard equipment, which would cost CZK 64,200 alone. This “extra equipment” includes Kessy keyless access, black Color Concept, metallic paint, parking sensors, Hill Start Assist, heated front seats and washers, light and rain sensor, Smartlink connectivity, Ambient lighting, lane keeping system or eCall service + Proactive service for 10 years.
The new Fabia Monte Carlo is thus said to be an even more advantageous offer than its predecessor. In addition, according to the carmaker, the new Fabia Monte Carlo should be up to 38% cheaper than the equally equipped Škoda Fabia Style.
