Not all films were able to fare well when Disney bought the Fox. Especially The New Mutants, whose exit has been postponed numerous times. It’s simple, we started to believe that the film would never see the light of day. Finally, The New Mutants had the right to a trailer brand new and an official release date. These heroes are certainly different from the X-Men, but since they are doomed to join the MCU, everyone wondered a little if it will be the same for young mutants. The answer would have been given by Disney, in one of their newsletters.
“There’s a seriously electrifying new addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), and it comes from Twentieth Century Fox and Marvel Entertainment […]” are the words that we could read in the said newsletter. The New Mutants is therefore part of the MCU? Nothing is certain. Since, this sentence has been deleted, and replaced by a simple synopsis of the film. It remains to be seen whether Marvel Studios did not want to spoil the “surprise”, or if it is indeed an error. So far, it seems more like Kevin Feige aims to bring all the heroes together, rather than leaving them each on their own. Especially since, as we said above, the X-Men undoubtedly land in the MCU by phase 5, or 6. So, MCU or not MCU? As often happens, time will tell.
