As of today, the Netherlands is again a high-risk area for Germany, which means that stricter rules apply to travelers to prevent the spread of the corona virus. Germany has also placed Spain in the same category.
Travelers from the Netherlands must be quarantined after arrival in Germany, unless they have been fully vaccinated or have recovered from the corona virus. In principle, the quarantine lasts ten days, unless people test negative after five days.
Travelers who cross the border must also be able to show a vaccination, test or recovery certificate. They must also pass this information on to the German authorities via the internet. The rules apply to all travelers aged 6 and older.
Exceptions are made: for example, the rules do not apply to people who have driven through a high-risk area without stopping and people who are in transit to another country.
