The NBA has reached a new ticket sales record. Porzingis’ Celtics are also among the most loved teams.

In total, 22.5 million spectators (22,536,341) attended the games in the main tournament, which is 1.4% more than the previous record in 2022/23. in the season of (22,234,502).

Also, a new record was reached in sold-out games. This season, in total, there were full arenas in 872 matches, which is 71% of all games in the main tournament.

The previous record was achieved in 2022/23. in the season of 2008, when 791 games (63%) were sold out.

This season, an average of 18,000 spectators attended one match (18,322), which is also a new record, slightly surpassing the previous one (18,077 in the 2022/23 season).

The league announced that the teams’ arenas were filled to 98% of their total capacity, which is also a new record.

The “in-season” tournament introduced this season, in which the games were held in November and December, helped to achieve new records. During these months, league matches were attended by 18,208 spectators on average.

10 of the league’s 30 teams sold out every home game – Boston Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers, Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets, Golden State Warriors, Miami Heat, Minnesota Timberwolves, Philadelphia 76ers, Phoenix “Dogs” and Sacramento “Kings”.

The league claims that fans from more than 150 different countries (and territories) have attended NBA games.
