“The NBA Chooses Valencia for the First Jr. NBA European Finals: A Week-Long Youth Tournament with 12 Teams”

The future NBA academy will meet in Valencia. The National Basketball Association, the City hall and Valencia Basket have announced an agreement that will include, among other actions, the celebration of the first Jr. NBA European Finals from June 21 to June 25 at l’Alqueria del Basket.

As announced, it is a week-long youth tournament. In it 12 basketball teams will participate: six for boys and six for girls, from a total of six different countries. Among all of them, 180 children under 15 years of age from France, Italy, Israel, Spain, Turkey and the United Kingdom will play.

Regarding the format of the competition, the Jr. NBA European Finals will focus on 24 competitive matches of five on five games throughout the week to determine a winner.

The City Councilor for Sports, Javier Mateo, has highlighted the relevance of this agreement.
