The National Bank raises interest rates on dollar savings certificates

The National Bank of Egypt announced the change in fixed interest rates for the new US dollar gold certificate issued by the bank for a period of 3 years, as well as for the Egyptian people’s dollar certificates with a duration of 5 and 7 years. years, for new certificate issues starting from 9 October.

The bank said in a statement today Saturday that these dollar certificates can be saved through all branches of the bank or via the Al-Ahly Net app to facilitate customers.

He added that these yields apply to new issues of dollar certificates available to his clients or whose existing dollar certificates have expired and are automatically determined on the same issue type with new interest in the event of a client’s request.

This interest on dollar certificates at the National Bank of Egypt is higher than the international interest rate on the dollar, which does not exceed 3.25%.

In the following lines, Masrawy presents the details of the interest rates on dollar certificates at the National Bank of Egypt after raising them.

The new gold certificate for 3 years

Interest rate: varies between 5.30% per annum, 5.25% semiannual, 5.20% quarterly and 5.15% monthly.

Minimum purchase: from the first $ 500 or multiples of them.

The Egyptian people’s dollar certificate has a period of 5 years

Interest rate: varies between 5.15% per annum for the annual yield, 5.10% per annum for the periodic six-monthly payment of interest, 5.05% per annum for the quarterly periodic payment of the yield and 5% annual for the monthly periodic payment of interest.

Minimum Purchase: Starting at $ 500 and multiples.

It is also possible to purchase the certificate in Egyptian dollars for a period of 7 years

Minimum Purchase: Starting at $ 1000.

Interest rate: up to 5.05% p.a., 5% p.a. with a half-yearly cycle, 4.95% p.a. with a quarterly cycle and 4.90% p.a. with a monthly cycle.
