Moscow has a number of advanced fighter jets such as the Su-57 stealth aircraft and nuclear bombers. However, why didn’t they use it despite launching a massive military offensive?
As it turned out, the process of such military operations had been well defined since World War II.
The process is to launch a precision attack missile first. Use these missiles to destroy radar, anti-aircraft guns and runways to prevent opposing aircraft from flying.
Then fighter jets are deployed to keep the skies or airspace safe and respond to every call for help from troops and tanks moving on the ground.

So far, Russian President Vladimir Putin has not arrived at the process of deploying advanced fighter jets.
“Russian Air Force missing in actionand most of it is not used,” said the institute’s research director think tank Russian CNA Michael Kofman.
“In [beberapa] the first day, Russian tactical flights, except for a few Su-25s, were mostly on the sidelines. So are most helicopter gunships. They have hundreds of them both deployed in the area,” he said.
