The Ministry of Labor allowed foreigners to work in Belarus without special permission in 35 positions

The press service of the Ministry of Labor reported that from January 1, 2024, the department’s resolution No. 52 dated December 19, 2023 will come into force, which allows Belarusian organizations to attract foreign workers using a simplified procedure and on the notification principle. But for a specific job.

“When employing foreigners in the professions specified in the list, employers do not need to obtain a special permit. Compared to 2023, the list has been expanded and includes 20 blue-collar professions and 15 white-collar positions,” the Ministry of Labor clarified.

Here is a complete list of professions for which foreign workers are very welcome in Belarus:

Earlier, Telegraf reported that Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko said on October 23, speaking to deputies in parliament, that he had not noticed a serious shortage of workers in Belarus. But he still promised to “balance” the situation by inviting foreigners to work in the Republic.

“To achieve positive dynamics, it is planned to implement measures aimed at maximizing the use of available labor resources and attracting qualified foreign labor to the country. Some steps in this direction have already been taken,” said Roman Golovchenko
