Khaled Mujahid, a spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, revealed that the committee formed by the decision of the Minister of Health and Population to search and investigate the causes of deaths from the emerging coronavirus, found that there were 17 deaths out of the total deaths today and yesterday who died before reaching hospitals.
“Mujahid” added, in a statement of the Ministry of Health today, Tuesday, that 30% of the total number of deaths in Egypt died before reaching hospitals, in addition to that 20% of deaths died within 48 hours of their arrival in hospitals due to the delay in their health condition upon arrival.
The number of deaths in Egypt as of today is 359 deaths, which means that 107 people (107.7), by calculating the 30%, died before reaching hospitals.
And taking into account the 20% of those who died 48 hours after their arrival in the hospital, they number 71 (71.8).
Dr. Hala Zayed, the Minister of Health and Population, urges the citizens, as soon as any symptoms appear, to go quickly to the nearest chest hospital or fever to receive the necessary care, so that the medical team can implement the updated treatment protocol upon arrival in order to preserve the lives of the citizens.
