Today, Sunday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 5 cases of newly infected persons from the Corona virus have been discharged from the Isolation Hospital, after receiving medical care and recovery, according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, bringing the total of those recovering from the virus to 26 cases to date, out of 34 cases that have been transferred. Its results are laboratory from positive to negative for Coronavirus (Covid-19), and the rest of the “negative” cases are followed up in isolation hospitals and their condition is stable, and they are expected to leave after negative evidence of “pcr” analysis for them twice, including 48 hours, according to the WHO guidelines in that matter.
Dr. Khaled Mujahid, adviser to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and the official spokesperson for the ministry, said that the 5 cases that left the isolation hospital today are all Egyptian.
He pointed out that 16 new cases have been proven positive for his new Corona virus, today, and they are in contact with positive cases that were discovered and announced in advance, with the exception of an Egyptian case returning from Italy, where they were discovered within the ministry’s surveillance and investigation procedures according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, He explained that the cases discovered today, including 8 Egyptians and 8 cases of foreigners of different nationalities.
Mujahid revealed the total number of people who have been registered in Egypt with the new corona virus until Sunday is 126 cases, of whom 26 have been cured and discharged from the isolation hospital, and only two deaths. “The case of the Egyptian woman who died Thursday, March 12, and the other of the German who died on Sunday, March 8 “
Mujahid reiterated not to monitor any cases infected or suspected of being infected with the new Corona virus in all governorates of the Republic except what has been announced, indicating that once suspected of any infection will be announced immediately, in full transparency in accordance with international health regulations, and in coordination with the World Health Organization.
