In this context, the company operating the third green line of the metro and the capital train announced that the working hours of the metro lines during Thursdays will be extended for one hour to operate until one in the morning, on Thursdays only, as the decision will be implemented starting on Thursday, November 30, 2023, for a period of one month, in a manner that experimental.
The decision comes in response to the marketing surveys carried out by the company and its continuous endeavor to improve the service and provide the best possible experience for its passengers.
The company operating the third metro line said that it responds to its audience of customers and has made adjustments to the train operating schedule according to the various occasions with which the Egyptian people interact, including football matches and working hours during Ramadan and holidays, in addition to various cultural events, as the third green line serves. A number of vital stations, including the stadium, the fairgrounds, Abbasiya, and Bab al-Shaareya.
The following points are the metro timings before the work is extended by one hour on Thursdays only:
First: Operating schedules for the three metro lines
– The first train departs from all terminal stations at a quarter past five in the morning throughout the year.
– The last train departs on the first line from Helwan at 11:40 p.m.
– The last train departs on the first line from New Marj at 11:50 p.m.
– The last train on the second line from Shubra Al-Kheima and from Al-Munib departs at 12:00 AM.
– The last train on the third line departs from Adly Mansour in the direction of Kit Kat at 11:31 p.m.
– The last train on the third line of Kit Kat departs in the direction of Adly Mansour at 12:05 am.
– The last train of the first line meets the second line at Anwar Sadat Station at 12:30 am.
– The last train of the first line meets the third line at Gamal Abdel Nasser station at 12:00 am.
– The last train of the second line meets the third line at Ataba station at 12:00 am.
Coordination is made with the third line in case there are delays to change the mentioned dates.
Second: The number of train trips on the three metro lines
The operating schedule for the three lines includes an estimated number of 1,353 flights per day, with an average of 488 flights on the first line, 602 flights on the second line, and 263 flights on the third line.
