The deconfinement was celebrated, and sometimes excessively, last weekend, on the banks of the Clain in Poitiers. At the Tison islet, a large green space in the city, the gatherings continued until late at night with the corpses of bottles and waste in large quantities, left behind once the festivities were over.
“Assistant general managers have been cleaned up, this is not acceptable. We understand that there can be a relief to go out after two months of confinement, but we must not do anything. We cannot let people assemble without respecting barrier gestures“said Mayor Alain Claeys.
Other order for Saint-Eloi
From this Wednesday evening at 10:30 p.m. (and until 7:30 a.m.), access to the island will be prohibited. A security company will be on site with the installation of barriers. The police will patrol.
A second order was also issued for the stadium of Saint-Eloi where young people (between 40 and 100 individuals according to the town hall) had got into the habit of meeting. However, sports facilities are closed until further notice.
