A man is arrested during a coffin procession War Elizabeth II along the Royal Mile. Police confirmed that the man was arrested for disturbing the order.

“A 22-year-old man was arrested in connection with a violation of the order on the Royal Mile at around 2:50 pm,” a police statement said. BBCMonday (9/12/2022).

The police did not explain in detail what the man did. The identity of the man has not yet been revealed.

Queen Elizabeth II’s coffin procession begins with King Charles III following his mother’s coffin along Edinburgh’s Royal Mile to St Giles’ Cathedral. The Queen’s four children – King Charles, Princess Anne and Princes Andrew and Edward – walked behind the hearse – as did Princess Anne’s husband, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence.

A car behind them will carry the Empress Camilla and the Countess of Wessex Sophie, the wife of Prince Edward.

After the journey of the coffins, they will enter the cathedral for a service which should last about an hour. Mourners will then be able to see Queen Elizabeth II’s coffin around 5pm.

British Prime Minister Liz Truss is seen at St Giles’ Cathedral for services to Queen Elizabeth II. Also present were the Prime Minister of Scotland, Nicholas Sturgeon, council officers, members of the armed forces, war veterans, judicial and consular officials.

There are also representatives from various Scottish charities who are also patrons of Queen Elizabeth, such as Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland, Royal National Mòd, Royal Scottish National Orchestra and Scottish Football Association.

Others on the guest list include people involved in the arts, sports, emergency services, and religious groups.
