The person involved in the murder of the notary and former magistrate Luis Miranda Cardoso placeholder image, father of federal deputy Luis Miranda Nava, committed suicide in his cell in the Santiaguito Prison, in Almoloya de Juárez on Monday night.
The Secretariat of Security (SS), through the Undersecretary of Penitentiary Control, confirmed that Arturo “N” took his own life inside his cell. He stated that around 8:30 p.m., in the area known as “imaginary”, he said present at the last roll call, but when he made a tour of the corridor at 10:30 p.m. after there was no response from Arturo, they opened the door of his cell and found him hanging with a pair of pants tied to a window bar.
The death was reported to the Public Ministry, who will be in charge of carrying out the pertinent investigations, while the Undersecretariat of Penitentiary Control has provided all the necessary information for the investigations that may take place.
Arturo went to the initial hearing on Monday and on January 20 the judge decided whether or not to link him to the process. Depending on the case, there are still two people to arrest.
