Belarus has defined a list of professions for which foreign citizens can be hired to work in 2024, without taking into account restrictions to protect the national labor market. About it reported at the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.
On January 1, 2024, departmental resolution No. 52 of December 19, 2023 comes into force. The document defines a list of worker professions (employee positions) for which foreign citizens or stateless persons are recruited in a simplified manner in 2024 – according to the notification principle of internal affairs bodies. When employing foreigners in the professions specified in the list, employers do not need to obtain a special permit, the Ministry of Labor clarified.
Compared to 2023, the list has been expanded and includes 20 blue-collar professions and 15 white-collar positions. Among them are a car driver, a concrete worker, a painter, a livestock specialist, a software engineer and others.
