The latest Pokémon Sword and Shield DLC has an adorable Switch Easter egg

Pokémon Sword and Shield has released new content just a week ago, so players have already explored the island of Armor in greater depth. It not only introduces new creatures, characters and other features, but has adjusted the level of the Pokémon to balance the fighting. There are no excuses not to travel to this island in search of more adventures and there are already players who have encountered a nice easter egg that references Switch and another game in the franchise that launched in 2018.

Players join a dojo where they meet Master Mustard, a former champion from the Galar region. All this training will lead them to become friends with Kubfu, although there is also an adorable reference like the Pokémon to the nintendo console. When the teacher retires to rest, he goes to a room where he has a television. The surprise comes when Mustard sits down play with Nintendo Switch docked in the Dock a game that will be familiar to all Pokémon fans. As you can see below it is about Pokémon Quest, available free on Nintendo Switch.

Just found out you can sit and watch Mustard play Pokémon Quest from PokemonSwordAndShield

Even teachers have a need to relax with Switch after workouts. What do you think of this unexpected wink? It would have been more surprising to meet the new Pokémon game on TV, but it’s really an adorable nod to Switch.

▪ Release date: 11/15/2019
