New York 22 districtsBecome the most competitive region in the 2020 general election. On the election night of November 3, 2020, the Republican candidate Teney led the current Democratic Rep. Brindisi with 28,422 votes. However, after the absentee ballots were drawn one after another, their lead was once reduced to 300 ticket.

For example, it was discovered that 7 of the 8 election committees in the district had made serious mistakes, failing to observe and perform statutory duties on affidavits, absentee ballots, military ballots, and special ballots.

De Conte said that his role as a judge is to “ensure that everyone abides by the law.”

De Conte also rejected the arguments of Brindisi’s lawyers and demanded that election officials immediately certify the results of the election. This may clear the way for Turney to take the oath of office and avoid urgent intervention by the Court of Appeal.

Regarding De Conte’s latest verdict, Brindisi said he was “shocked and surprised” and hoped to postpone the certification of the election results until the appeal court had a chance to review the case.
