The Last of Us Part II turns up the difficulty level

Players who like a challenge will soon embark on an even tougher experience in The Last of Us Part II. It appears via the game’s updated Trophy list.

Two new PlayStation trophies, called You Can’t Stop This and Dig Two Graves, were added this week. Both are about completing the story, with “Permadeath” respectively – meaning that you have to start all over again if you die – and the new difficulty level Grounded.

Grounded originally appeared as extra content in the first The Last of Us game. The mode makes the experience much tougher, for example by unscrewing the damage from enemies or removing objects that are usually found in drawers and cabinets.

What Grounded will look like in The Last of Us Part II has not been confirmed, and when it comes to the game, developer Naughty Dog has not said anything about it.

Great sneak peek

The Last of Us Part II was born on June 19 this year, seven years after its critically acclaimed predecessor. This also received a very good reception, and our reviewer praised the game in the clouds.

– With The Last of Us Part II, Naughty Dog has created a game that is technically superior for the most part, while at the same time telling a personal story that I really feel matters. It’s a tale of contradictions – between hatred and love, revenge and forgiveness – and it’s a tale that constantly makes me feel and think incredibly much differently. And the is a good thing, wrote Espen Jansen.
