The sometimes violent discussions around The Last of Us: Part II do not tear off. The story of the game in particular displeases some. A petition has even been launched on Change.org to get Naughty Dog to rewrite the story of the game.
Under the title “Remake the storyline of The Last Of Us Part II”, players are asking the developer to change the entire story. According to the writer, who uses the pseudonym Joel Miller, gameplay, graphics and mechanics would be great, but the story was extremely bad. Joel’s death is criticized just as sharply as the fact that he has to play with his murderer Abby over large parts.
Naughty Dog had disrespected the fans who had been waiting for the successor for seven years. The story is not what the fans deserve. In the meantime, 20,916 people (as of June 25, 3:07 p.m.) have signed the petition. The provisional target is 25,000 signatures. It will be interesting to see whether Naughty Dog reacts to the project.
