The completed production of the fourth generation of the famous Ford coincides with the meager 29 years since the start of production of the original Mondeo. The three days of the existence of this model have illustrated the development of the automotive market and the various features in Europe. The first Mondeo in 1993 was replaced today by the legendary Sierra. It brought a number of radical changes to the front-wheel drive, and in the world it was noticed that it was the first to offer an idia airbag in all versions. The newspaper praised the leap with the title of European car of the year 1994, and the customers just flocked. These results have never been repeated. The second generation of 2001 and the year launched in 2007 brought significant progress, but sales have been declining for a long time. The latest performance was then cursed in a way from the meeting. It is good for the European division to offer the European division and the United States the same (on the other side of the Atlantic under the name Ford Fusion) complications.

The current model was unveiled at the Detorit Motor Show in 2012, and Europe was expected to sell in 2013. However, it finally got its first customers and in the autumn of 2014 at the same time as the beat competitor VW Passat B8. So Ford lost the benefit of the time jump due to the snow and launched the novelty as a slightly watched model. Many customers due to this first of the Volkswagen or even the company brand, and Ford never overcame this mistake.

The delay was caused by complications during the dollar European version and so the decision at the last minute to move the city of production. The plant in the Belgian Genk was closed and the fourth generation hastily moved to Valencia, where until then the men and cheaper Fiesta and C-Maxy were produced. By the way, Ford announced the end of the factory in Genka, a tactical comparison, announced exactly at the 50th year of its opening.

It is claimed that the Spanish production was met with excellent quality, especially at the paint. In the last two years, Ford dealers have lost the last argument, when the carmaker has officially confirmed that Mondeo will leave quietly without a successor. That is why last year, according to available statistics, more pieces were sold than how many were produced. During the general shortage of cars, the dealers sold out the old warehouse stocks.

But these were not the only pellaps Ford had committed. Not only the nains had to be irritated by the carmaker’s efforts to sell the Mondeo with its foreman EcoBoost. Detailed statistics are not available, but the fact that this engine of the production program has disappeared after those years speaks for itself.

These engines were completely new, but compared to the predecessor, they offered nothing more than certain emissions. Those interested in a vending machine instead of a double-clutch gearbox had to be satisfied with a classic automatic vending machine, which was a dispute over production costs, together with the American Fusion, but increased gasoline consumption by a liter.

According to Ford, all the competitors from whom the customers expected it offered the opportunity eight years ago. The Mondeo was to offer this opportunity in a generation two … The advanced hybrid once again received a two-liter drive with relatively poor driving performance and was only available for a long time with the slightly popular sedan body. Unfortunately, the transition to the station wagon version in 2019 did not result in the deployment of a powerful 2.5-liter, now completely new Kuga, and the cobalt of sales results could not have occurred in theory.

But it should be added that even without these principles, the Mondeo would expect the future. Sales of classic cars have been declining for a long time, and only the Volkswagen Passat and the Superb code can gain a strong foothold among the premium brands. In addition, customers are forced to offer electric cars at this price and size category. As a result, mid-week sales have fallen by 80% since 2000, according to a Ford spokesman for Automotive News Europe.

So SMondeem is the end of Europe, the fusion Fusion even broke down in the USA two years ago. Both models should replace the insights of the unclear crossover with high-quality sales (or at least in the sea). Five generations of Mondea grew ten centimeters below the five-meter limit, this year they introduced the HV as a petrol turbocharger and only HV will be sold (tte here).

But the end of Mondeo means nothing to the British factory. Ford is investing less than 30 million euros in the various production of batteries and hybrid systems. Among other things, I have a Kuga SUV manufactured here. Somewhat paradoxically, a pair of MPV S-Max and Galaxy are derived from Monde in Valencia and continue to grow, which last year was dedicated to hybrid propulsion to take over from Kuga. The Dalit model produced here is the Transit Connect, which, unlike the personal version of the Tourneo, does not receive a new generation derived from the Volkswagen Caddy.

And because the Czech market was also considered, due to the local tax categories, the volume of the new generation of the main petrol engine EcoBoost had to change from 1.6 to 1.5 liters.
