“The LA Complex Inundated by Enigmatic Online Food Delivery for Three Weeks, Thirteen Times Daily – Kompas.com”

LOS ANGELES, KOMPAS.com – Residents in a Los Angeles neighborhood say they’ve been inundated with mysterious deliveries from online food delivery service Uber Eats. Even though they didn’t order it.

Locals in the Range View Avenue area in the Highland Park neighborhood say they have received up to 13 deliveries a day from McDonald’s, Taco Bell, Starbucks and other restaurants via Uber Eats over the past three weeks.

Residents say deliveries pop up at any time, from day to night.

“When there is too much food at once, we will try to find a place to donate it or give it away,” local man William Neal told KTLA-TV, as reported by UPI.

Several recipients said they tried to call the phone numbers listed on the order, but all were not working.

They note prepaid orders always include a tip for the driver.

A representative for Uber, the delivery service’s parent company, said officials were investigating the origins of the mysterious order.

Neighbors said they had no idea why someone had sent so much food to their door.

“I don’t think anyone saw it as something scary. It was just something unique that rarely happens,” Neal told the Los Angeles Times.
