The KHL has not yet discussed the departure of league president Chernyshenko after his appointment as deputy prime minister

The KHL press service commented on the appointment of League President Dmitry Chernyshenko as Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.

“According to the Charter of KHL LLC, decisions on the election and early termination of powers of the sole executive body – the president of the KHL, are made by the Board of Directors of KHL LLC. An extraordinary meeting of the Board of Directors will take place in the near future, at which these issues will be considered, ”the official commentary of the press service for BUSINESS Online says.

Recall that today, by the decree of the President of Russia, Chernyshenko was appointed Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.

Chernyshenko is the General Director and Chairman of the Management Board of Gazprom Media. The 51-year-old functionary has been working in the KHL since 2014, he led the league during the season, replacing Alexander Medvedev.
