Leonardo Khel, player of the Saudi Jeddah Football Association, confirmed that he prefers to represent the Chilean national team than playing for the Argentine national team, especially as he holds the nationality of both countries.
“We miss the city of Rosario, his hometown, but he is currently working on harmony and brilliance with the Jeddah Union team,” Khel said in comments to the Argentine “Rosario 3” radio.
He added that he donated nearly 5 million Argentine pesos (more than 80,000 US dollars) to his former club, Rosario Central, and this amount is part of his previous dues with the team, to buy new equipment for the junior teams.
On his team, Al-Ittihad, Khail confirmed that he adapts quickly to the atmosphere and language, thanks to his colleague Marcelo Grohe, who takes his hand since his first day in the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Gil had joined Al Ittihad during the last winter transfer period, coming from the ranks of the Argentine Rosario Central team.
