Jaguar Land Rover continues to electrify the offer. The Jaguar F-Pace has recently seen mild hybrids and plug-in hybrids as part of this year’s facelift.

The Jaguar F-Pace was introduced as the first production SUV of this British brand in 2015, so this is the high time to modernize it. And that is just introducing itself to the world. It had to adapt to time, so the most important innovations include electrified motors.
On the contrary, the design has not fundamentally changed, even though we find a new bumper with redesigned cooling vents, a different hood, low headlights (standard LED) or an extended radiator grille. At the back are newly shaped tail lights with graphics inspired by the modernized F-Type. However, the carmaker talks about a cleaner design, which emphasizes the sporty character of this SUV.

Inside we find more fundamental changes, because the concept of the dashboard is completely redesigned, including its shaping and shapes of ventilation vents. Also new is the center console with integrated touch screen of the multimedia system with a diagonal of 11.4 “, which controls the new infotainment Pivi Pro, known for example from the current Land Rover Defender. Also new are door panels with otherwise located handles and electric window controls or, for example, a selector lever head with stitching evoking a cricket ball. The new seats have wider pillows and new massage functions. In addition, Jaguar highlights the new air conditioning with PM2.5 filtration.
However, modernization mainly means extensive electrification of supply. Only the basic four-cylinder petrol engine will not be supplemented with an electric motor, the non-hybrid version will then also be available for the top three-liter diesel. The vast majority of the offer will be mild hybrids, whether petrol three-liter six-cylinder or two-liter turbodiesel. In this case, the combustion engines of the Ingenium family are paired with an eight-stage automatic from ZF and a belt driven by a starter-generator. In addition, all offered units are paired with all-wheel drive as standard.

A novelty is also the plug-in hybrid P400e, which is currently before any modernization F-Pace SVR serves as the top of the menu. It combines a two-liter petrol four-cylinder with an electric motor, which together provide a combined output of 297 kW (404 hp). Lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of 17.1 kWh will then allow the plug-in hybrid F-Pace to travel purely on electricity up to 53 kilometers according to the WLTP methodology. In this case, the drive provides an electric motor with an output of 105 kW.
The modernized Jaguar F-Pace will appear in the domestic offer in the coming days. The plug-in hybrid will then complete the offer during 2021.
